‘I felt like an isolated woman in the elements, but someone who loves it…’ Slip behind the scenes with Ruth Wilson, our Lighthouse Keeper, and director Nora Fingscheidt, as they describe the challenging but beautiful conditions they faced while creating our seasonal film on Skye. The Isle of Skye is the northernmost major island in the Inner Hebrides. It is an otherworldly landscape whose rocky slopes and dramatic peninsulas radiate from jagged mountains known as the Cuillin. When our crew arrived there, all the elements unveiled themselves with little warning - rain, wind, sun, sleet and even rainbows, creating the perfect conditions in which to capture nature’s power at the season’s turn.
