But until now, there has been no way to access local health data—leaving lawmakers in the dark. The Zip Code Exam is an interactive map that reveals the life expectancy of any neighborhood in America and breaks down the local health data into easy-to-understand “Health Factor Scores'—all presented in a Community Health Report for each Zip Code. The platform makes complex national data easy to understand and act on by local leaders. Using CDC and US Census resources, we collected data across 6 health factors for each of the 30,000 zip codes in the US, over 900,000 data points, and integrated them into one platform buit for simpli Email API integration allows user to send this actionable data directly to their local leaders. in one week of launch, the digital platform received 200,000 visits. with more than 10,000 Community Health Reports sent to local governments by users. The City of Phoenix and the New York Borough of Queens have both signed on to implement the Zip Code Exam asa tool for change within their districts.
