Case Study Details
What if the world’s best coffee shop wasn’t on the street but in your kitchen?
De’Longhi have partnered with master model-maker Simon Weisse, known for his work with directors like Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City), Luca Guadagnino and Wim Wenders (Until The End Of The World, Submergence), to debut ‘The World’s Smallest Coffee Shops'.
Unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026, The World’s Smallest Coffee Shops transform five fully automatic bean-to-cup De'Longhi coffee machines into miniature architectural masterpieces.
Each one captures the spirit of legendary coffee shop-rich cities including Paris, Tokyo, Milan, Copenhagen, and Berlin, in fully-working machines.
But this isn’t just about design: despite 80% of coffee now being consumed at home, most people still believe the perfect cup requires a café.
However, with De’Longhi you can have the perfect coffee at home with one touch. No queues. No compromise. Just ‘perfetto’ every time.

What a great
time to be
a computer.
HT
‘There was a time when computers were big, clunky machines that beeped, blinked, and did little more than what a calculator does
today. But in what felt like a nanosecond, computers evolved. They got slecker, faster, thinner. They moved from labs to desks. From
desks to laps. From laps to pockets. They started out crunching numbers, then learned how to write, play, and even code. And today
they made one more unexpected leap: making coffee.
You read that right. Espre: Macchiatos, Cappuccinos, and even Flat Whites. This little machine here runs over 40 programs to
make you the best coffee in town. Since April 11th, in certain countries a computer is anything that processes data, stores preferences,
runs programs, and delivers personalized outputs. Which, surprisingly, also describes our coffee machine. So today, we're proud to
introduce our DeLonghi as something more than a coffee machine. We're introducing it as a computer.
