Zero confirmed collisions
Wind energy faced a growing perception crisis. In January 2025, the President of the United States paused wind energy projects
citing bird deaths, halting five offshore wind farms overnight. Spoor had already solved the problem technically, an Al
continuously detecting, tracking, and classifying bird movement, trained on over one million birds and 200,000 hours of footage,
with over 95% accuracy, But the category hadn't evolved. A dynamic system was being communicated through static formats:
compliance reports, dashboards, and post-event summaries that few decision-makers engaged with. Systems that operate
continuously were reduced to snapshots. The industry didn't lack evidence. It lacked a way to make that evidence visible,
detection data points into a living visual system. Every design decision serves a function: particle motion indicates movement,
proximity signals risk, interaction reveals cause and effect. Flight paths are rendered spatially. Species data layers contextually. Turbine
responses link directly to detection events. A single visual logic ensures complexity becomes intuitive rather than overwhelming. The
experience follows a single bird navigating the system, turning one of wind energy’s most complex datasets into a narrative that unfolds
through interaction. By translating behaviour instead of displaying data, The Birdwatcher moved the industry from static, delayed
